Web Designer - Web Interaction & Motion

Overview

Build complete, polished websites from short written prompts, with motion design as the centrepiece of every site. You'll work in one of two flows. In the agent only flow you design and build everything by directing the design coding agent transitions, scroll-driven reveals, kinetic type, animated navigation and interaction states, all specified by you and built in code. In the flexible flow, you design the motion in your own tools first (After Effects, Framer, Jitter, Rive, Lottie or similar), then use the design agent to bring it into a working site. Either way the bar is the same: a finished, running website you'd hand to a paying client, where the motion feels designed rather than bolted on. Your work becomes part of a reference set of high-quality motion-led web design.

What you'll do

• Design and build one website per assigned prompt, meeting every explicit requirement and using your judgment where the brief is open
• Write a short motion design plan before you build (direction, the motion moments, how each ties to the brief) and get it signed off
• Direct Codex with precise motion specs: durations, easing, stagger, scroll triggers, state transitions
• Iterate on typography, colour and motion until the site is something you'd hand to a paying client
• Make QA revisions in the same session and log your active working time per unit

Required skills

• 3+ years of professional web or product design experience with a live portfolio
• Demonstrated motion design within websites: scroll-driven and page-level motion, not only hover effects
• Comfortable directing an AI coding agent (Codex, Cursor, Claude Code or similar); you don't need to write code by hand
• Excellent typography and colour craft; able to spot and remove generic AI defaults
